Our friends at Engadget have done Apple (AAPL) and the rest of us a favor. They've invited the iPhone faithful to gather their all gripes and put them in one place.
As of this morning, they've got 238 replies.
The result is a window onto what the iPhone can and can't do -- and a snapshot of the additional features that its users want most, either through software upgrades or hardware improvements in future models. Apple could do worse than to print out the wishlist and nail it to their developers' door.
I've taken the liberty of culling the first 100 suggestions and pasting them below with minimal editing. I hope this doesn't step on Engadget's toes (and if it does, I'm sure they'll let me know). If you have gripes or suggestions you want to add to the list, here's the link: How would you change the iPhone?

- A way to shut off the accelerometer in the iPod app so that when I'm walking with it and suddenly want to switch to the next track,
- another physical button. It'd be a modifier key, like a shift key, that would let you drag to select text, copy/paste by holding the shift key and using two fingers to tap, etc.
- keychain password storage - perhaps tied to the passcode for unlocking your phone,
- Blackberry plugin
- ActiveSync for exchange.
